COERR Mae Sot organized Commencement Training for Camp-based Refugee Staff in 3 temporary shelters who have been working and been trained in Para-social Work for three years, in order to enhance their capacity building by the Child Protection Specialist who provided them with concept and analysis; art therapy technique to make them relax and understand oneself; and refresh their knowledge and skills in para-social work. The training included pre-test, work experience sharing, discussion about learning by the manual and through their own experience in social work practice. The para-social commencement training was organized at Ban Mae La Temporary Shelter, during June 18-19, 2022 for 47 camp-based refugee staff of 43 females and 4 males. Later, during July 5-6, 2022, another commencement training was held in Ban Nupo Temporary Shelter for 9 female camp-based refugee staff. The last commencement training was organized in Ban Umpiem Temporary Shelter during July 11-12, in which 23 camp-based refugee staff, both males and females, attended.
